The BET Awards this year will take place on June 26 and it has been confirmed that the opening act is......drum roll please.....Alicia Keys!

Alicia Keys, who is set to re-release her Songs in a Minor album for its 10th anniversary will commemorate the 10th Anniversary by performing a concert for her fans at New York City's Beacon Theatre on June 30th.

The show, titled "Piano & I: A One Night Only Event With Alicia Keys," will go on sale on May 6th on Ticket Master.

Her CD will hit stores June 30th. The deluxe edition will feature a two-disc set while the collector's edition includes three cd's. Both versions will have new packaging, limited edition liner notes and previously unreleased tracks, according to rttnews.com.

Previously unreleased tracks that will be featured on the new set include "A Woman's Worth (Remix)," a mixtape version of "Juiciest" and the unreleased track "Typewriter," according to rttnews.com. 

She will also have an hourlong special, "Songs in A Minor" that will air on BET in late June.


Alicia performed last year on the BET Awards twice; in her solo performance singing "Unthinkable" and also performing in a tribute to Prince.

There is no word yet on who will host the 2011 BET Awards. More performers will be announced at later dates, stay tuned for updates.
