Mariah Carey is Honored at the 'BET Honors,' Kelly Rowland & Patti LaBelle Pay Tribute

Mariah Carey Crying BET Honors

The tribute I was waiting for...

The BET Honors aired tonight after being recorded about a month ago and Mariah Carey was honored this evening for her accomplishments, she received this years Entertainers Award.

Kelly Rowland sang "Fantasy" and then the wonderful Patti La Belle sang Mariah's classic song  "Hero."

A teary eyed Mariah cheered on Patti in the audience and her facial expression showed she was shocked that a legend was singing to her.

Her husband Nick came out on stage with their son Moroccan and gave a heartfelt speech to honor is wife:

"...You guys don’t see her at 3 o’clock in the morning getting up in the middle of the night fixing me soup and stuff when my kidney's ain’t acting right! Mariah Cary does that! To know that you guys are honoring her tonight, I gotta continue to make that vow to honor her everyday," Nick said referring to his wife taking care of him after his mild kidney failure scare last month.
