Vocal Swelling Causes Maxwell to Cancel Summer Tour, Tweets He's Doing Better Now

I was pumped to see Maxwell perform in Newark at the Prudential Center August 3rd and 4th and just found out (kinda late) that his short summer tour is cancelled because he developed vocal swelling and hemorrhaging.

Oh noooo!!!

Good news: Maxwell recently tweeted during the Fourth of July weekend that he is doing better:

"i was pretty miserable since the voice thing i'm not 100 but better, feels good to be with loving friends on independence day weekend.."

After seeing this man perform in New York during one of those summer free concerts two summers ago, I just knew I had to hear him perform live on stage again.

The neo-soul singer was set to perform his four best-selling albums (Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite, Embrya, Now, and BLACKsummer’snightin their entirety. He was set to tour Newark, Atlanta and Los Angeles in July and August to tracks from all four albums which has never been performed live before.

"IM SINGING AGAIN AND ITS LIKE THE FIRST TIME..."
"I LOVE YOU U BROUGHT ME MY VOICE BACK "

After developing the vocal swelling, Maxwell was advised by a doctor to rest and undergo treatment. He said before in a statement that cancelling the tour “sucks” and he plans to hit the road when his new album, “blackSUMMERS’night,” is released later this year.

The statement also said refunds are available at the point of purchase.
