FOX's new series Empire has taken viewers by storm and I'm hooked already!

According to Entertainment Weekly, "Empire is...one of the most ambitious new dramas of 2015."

The new drama is also FOX's highest-rated new show in years and had nearly 10 million viewers during its premiere Wednesday night!

In the first episode "Pilot," Lucious Lyon (played by Terrence Howard) is a rapper-turned-music mogul. He receives disturbing news when he visits the doctor and is diagnosed with ALS. With three years to live, Lucious must choose one of his three sons: Andre (Trai Byers), Jamal (Jussie Smollett) or Hakeem (Bryshere Gray) to take over the family business.
Hakeem got his butt whooped when he tried to
come at his momma Cookie sideways.
Do you see his face!?
Then there's Cookie (played by Taraji P. Henson) who is Lucious' ex-wife. After 17 years of doing hard time, Cookie is released from prison for having good behavior and she returns home. But, she doesn't take any mess from anyone, and she wants half of the musical empire. Cookie plans on getting what's due to her.

Don't mess with Cookie! She don't play.
I also LOVE the music from the show: Check out the song "Good Enough" which features Jessie Smollett.

New episodes of Empire air every Wednesday night 9/8c on FOX or you can visit the website to watch full episodes and hear the music from each episode.
