*UPDATE: 6/23/15 2:43 a.m.

Diddy has been released from jail. Bond was set at $160,000 and he will have to appear in court on July 13, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Sports Center tweeted the charges:

Rap mogul Sean Combs (a.k.a Diddy a.k.a P. Diddy a.k.a Puff Daddy) was arrested by the UCLA police department earlier today for assault with a deadly weapon... a kettleball!

"Diddy's son, Justin Combs, is a defensive back on the football team.
UCLA director of community relations Nancy Greenstein confirmed the arrest to USA TODAY Sports and the university issued a statement saying the altercation took place at the Acosta Athletic Training Complex.
TMZ reported that Diddy, 45, got into a dispute with UCLA assistant football coach, Sal Alosi, a former New York Jets strength coach who was suspended by the NFL in 2010 for tripping a player.
No one was seriously injured, and the campus police department continues to investigate the matter. The hip-hop music mogul was expected to be transported to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Inmate Reception Center later on Monday evening."

50 cent, who loves poking fun at Diddy on his Instagram page, was quick to post up videos and mock Diddy shortly after news broke of his UCLA arrest.
