Kim was found dead in her Toluca Lake home on Thursday (Nov. 15) morning, the Los Angeles County medical examiner's office said in a statement, according to CNN.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that Kim wasn’t feeling well and went to bed early on Wednesday night. When family couldn’t wake her on Thursday the paramedics were called. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kim was reportedly taking Saline and vitamins to battle what was thought to be the flu or pneumonia, but authorities are also checking to see if she may have contracted a disease during a recent trip to Africa, according to Extra.
Kim and Diddy were a couple for more than a decade until 2007. They had twin daughters and a son together. She also had a son from a previous relationship. She maintained a close friendship with Diddy after their split.
Diddy paid tribute to Kim on his Instagram page with a video and he wrote:
"For the last three days I’ve been trying to wake up out of this nightmare. But I haven’t. I don’t know what I’m going to do without you baby. I miss you so much. Today I’m going to pay tribute to you, I’m going to try and find the words to explain our unexplainable relationship. We were more than best friends, we were more than soulmates. WE WERE SOME OTHER SHIT!! And I miss you so much. Super Black Love."
