Watch Queen Latifah, Fetty Wap, Redman, and more perform a New Jersey tribute at the 2019 VMAs

The VMA's was so Jersey!

One of pop culture’s biggest nights, the MTV Video Music Awards, debuted at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey for the first time Monday night!

Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, and Normani all delivered memorable performances. Taylor Swift opened the show and walked away with the night’s top prize for 'Video of the Year' for her pro-LGTBQ anthem "You Need to Calm Down."

Wyckoff natives The Jonas Brothers paid tribute to New Jersey as they performed in Asbury Park beach in a pre-taped show on Sunday night.

And, who can forget the legendary Missy Elliott who received the Video Vanguard award! Wayyyy overdue! Missy shut down the stage while she performed a number of her classic hits, such as "Get Ur Freak On," "Hot Boyz," "The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)," and much more.

My favorite part of the night...

And, it was only fitting that some of Jersey's finest hip hop artists hit the stage! Queen Latifah, Fetty Wap, Redman, Wyclef Jean, and Naughty By Nature all came out to perform a medley of their hits while representing their hometown.
