Actor D.B. Woodside Speaks About Stacey Dash's Departure From 'Single Ladies,' and is Happy She is Gone! and Stacey Writes a New Book

Actor D.B. Woodside who plays Malcolm on VH1's Single Ladies as Keisha's (LisaRaye) boyfriend, recently spoke out to  V-103′s Egypt Sherrod about the absence of Stacey Dash (Val) on the show.

He said when he found out Stacey Dash wouldn't be returning for the second season he went out and had some drinks! Wow!!

"I don’t want to cause any trouble, but I, for one, am happy she’s gone. It’s a much better place to be. It’s a much better set. I’m just going to keep it straight. I’m just going to keep it real. I am happy that she’s not there anymore.

When I first heard that Stacey was leaving, I went out and celebrated and had some drinks."

Last year was very difficult at times to go to set with all that tension that was going on with Stacey. So I wish her well. I’m sure she’s off doing something else."

And Stacey is off doing something else. The 46-year-old actress is now writing a How-To book. She posted the info on her blog:

I’m writing a “How To” book. It’ll be about me, my daily ritual and what I do every day to be Stacey Dash. It’ll be about what I’ve done in the past, the mistakes I’ve made and the lessons I’ve learned. The mistakes that I continue to make that drive me to moments of madness. I want to share what I’m going through in real-time to correct,  reconcile and reinvent. You see I’m on a quest to live in love and joy come hell or high water. So, I’ll be writing about my future and how I’m moving forward in life using the knowledge I’ve gained from my past and wisdom I’m finding now. Also, I want to teach women and girls how to take care of themselves…and most importantly, how to love themselves. I believe that… is truly what is most important in life. In the process of writing, I’m hopeful that while I’m teaching you I’ll also be teaching myself.”

I was so disappointed in the premiere of the second season of Single Ladies and it took me a couple of tries to watch this show on Tivo and get through the whole hour.

I watched the second show this past Monday and it seemed to have gotten a little better but they honestly need Stacey Dash back!

Producers need to bring her back so we can see more of the Val character. I loved her on the show! I also didn't like how they wrote her character off and gave some corny mess to the viewers saying Val went to Milan because she's so distraught so she's not coming back.

Denise Vasi (pictured left)
replaced Stacey Dash

And, on the season 2 premiere episode, April, Keisha and Omar  poured champagne over one of Val's designer dresses... in memory of her. That was lame.

Somebody couldn't think of a better way to have Val leave the show?

I'm not feeling this Raquel character (played by Denise Vasi), she doesn't mesh well with LisaRaye and Charity Shea (April). She's too young acting.

And ...the new girl is buying Val's shop now! Like really?

I was really looking forward to Val's story lines and seeing the Quinn/Jerry love triangle play out. Now Jerry said he's through with Val and there's no more room in his heart ... that just doesn't cut it for me.

Val got proposed to twice in the same night on the season 1 finale! That was the big thing and now Val and her guys are done with. Ughhh, this show is just not the same anymore.
