I'm currently at the office listening to my coworkers talk about their future plans IF they were to win the lotto...
The Powerball lottery ticket is the hottest ticket around this week as people head out to purchase their shares in hopes of becoming a millionaire once the drawing is announced this Saturday (Jan. 9).
The Powerball is up to a record $800 million and a single winner would have the option of a lump-sum cash payout of an estimated $496 million.
No one has won the Powerball jackpot since early November, which is why the prize has grown so large.
The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338. But, this isn't stopping people from dreaming. Hey, you never know... you could be that one special person (and, if you are and you're reading this, don't forget about me! LOL.)
This is only my fourth time playing the lottery. The most I've ever won was 12 bucks. But, there's just something about joining in on all this lottery madness. It's nice to just pause and dream rich for a second while imagining what we would do with the money if we actually won.
I purchased individual tickets, split some tickets with my mom, and I just entered an office pool to increase my chances of winning.

My coworkers and I are talking about all the things we would do with our winnings. For starters, I would quit my job and disappear... I'm off on a vacation for a couple of weeks. When I return, well IF I return, lol, I would invest most of the money, pay off all my student loans and finally be debt free (one could only dream). Then, of course, take care of my family, bills, splurge a little, etc.
One of my coworkers said, "We should give everyone in the company some of the money." (including the ones who didn't chip in).
Ha, yeah right!
Another coworker said, "How about we throw them a pizza party!"
LOL, I like that idea better!
Someone else said, "I would buy the company for the hell of it."
Well, let me go back to daydreaming until reality hits me tomorrow...
