Aretha Franklin Joins the Celeb Holiday Engagement List
Her and her long time friend, Willie Wilkerson announced their engagement three days after the new year and they had plans to marry this summer.
Now, 69-year-old Aretha has announced that she is calling off her wedding. Supposedly the couple thinks they're moving too fast.
Aretha's rep released a statement which read:
"Will and I have decided we were moving a little too fast, and that that were a number of things that had not been thought through thoroughly. There will be no wedding at this time. We will not comment on it any further because of the very personal and sensitive nature of it. We appreciate all of the many well wishes from friends."
