Madonna's "Express Yourself" vs. Lady Gaga's "Born This Way"

Madonna is throwing a lot of daggers lately. First at Lady Gaga and now also supposedly at Janet Jackson. Madonna is set to perform during the halftime show this year at the Super Bowl on Feb. 5 and Ryan Seacrest tweeted yesterday:

Ryan Seacrest
Just got a tip Madonna dropped by  today...she said the super bowl halftime show will be "nipple-free" this year.

Lol, wow! I guess no one will ever  forget Janet's nip slip during her halftime performance at the 2004 Superbowl with Justine Timberlake.

Madonna is also having some issues with Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" saying Gaga ripped off her 1989 "Express Yourself" song which has a very similar message.

In an upcoming interview with Newsweek, Madonna said:

"I thought, this is a wonderful way to redo my song (‘Express Yourself’). I mean, I recognized the chord changes. I thought it was…interesting."

So far, Gaga has had nothing to say about Madonna's comments.

Why is all of this reminding me of when Lil' Kim started hating on Nicki Minaj because of their similar styles.

It's like the older ladies are saying, "hey, don't forget about me, I did it first." Okay, we know that. There is no reason to pick feuds with the current divas just so you can stay relevant in the music industry.

It's obvious that Gaga follows Madonna steps, many of the new singers are inspired by legends. So just keep working on that upcoming album Madonna and leave Gaga alone.

Below are the two songs and performances that people are now comparing.

Hmmm, they both have similar hairstyles and both of them are out there when it comes to fashion. I think both of them worked it in these videos.

Do the two songs sound similar to you? Do you have a favorite pop diva?
