Sarah Jessica Parker To Launch New Shoe Line For Women at Nordstrom

Sarah Jessica Parker Manolo - P 2011

Carrie Bradshaw was fabulous and she would always walk the long New York streets in high heels. She would even run in her heels to catch a cab. It is only fitting that this fictional Sex and the City character (who spent thousands and thousands of dollars on her shoe collection) played by Sarah Jessica Parker has a shoe line for her own - SJP.

“Because I got to play that role [Carrie], I wore a lot of shoes and by default I learned an enormous amount,” Sarah Jessica Parker said. “It’s hard to walk away from that.”

SJP will also include bags and trenches.

And, who is the actress launching her shoe line with? None other than George Malkemus, the longtime CEO of Manolo Blahnik himself - which are the shoes that Carrie Bradshaw loved to collect and wear on the show.

The line will be available exclusively at Nordstrom starting early next year. The shoes will range in price from $200 to $300.

“We’re putting new colors together that people don’t typically do, just beautiful combinations that you wish existed in your closet,” she says.

“And in terms of bags, thinking about that period of the seventies into the eighties, what those women were carrying, taking away the bells and the whistles and hardware and really making it about the bag."
