Lifetime's Movie 'Whitney' Pulls in Big Ratings!

Whether you loved it or hated it, Lifetime's original movie Whitney drew in 4.5 million total viewers Saturday night during its premiere! Wow!

Me personally, I liked the fim as I said in my review. Judging from social media, Whitney - starring Yaya DaCosta and Arlen Escarpeta - received a warm response and many positive messages. However, some viewers pointed out they wanted the film to cover more of Whitney's life and felt the movie was more about Bobby Brown, Whitney's ex-husband.

According to Entertainment WeeklyWhitney was Lifetime’s most-watched telecast since Flowers in the Attic.

Right after the movie premiered, an exclusive interview with Bobby Brown aired entitled Bobby Brown: Remembering Whitney (4.1 million total viewers) then Whitney Houston Live: Her Greatest Performances (3.2 million total viewers) aired. All three shows turned out to be hits with 11.8 million viewers in total, according to Entertainment Weekly.
