Vanilla Ice Arrested and Charged With Burglary, But It Was All a Mistake!

Vanilla Ice was arrested for burglary!?

Yes and no. You see, Vanilla Ice - who is known for his 1989 hit "Ice Ice Baby" - was arrested and charged with burglary of a residence and grand theft for breaking into an abandoned home in Florida, according to multiple reports.

Turns out, Vanilla Ice, whose real name is Robert Van Winkle, was taken into custody but it was all a misunderstanding.

The '90s pop icon has now been released from custody and police say the recording artist was renovating a home next to the victim's. After the owners alerted authorities, police obtained a search warrant and, according to USA Today, recovered some of the items at Vanilla Ice's home in Palm Beach County.

The police department told media the theft is connected to Vanilla Ice's DIY Network TV show called The Vanilla Ice Project, in which he and a crew renovate and flip homes.

The 47-year-old recording artist was released on a $6,000 bail and the items that were taken, have been released to their rightful owner, according to USA Today. Vanilla Ice told TV station WPTV as he left that the situation was a "misunderstanding" that's been "blown out of proportion."

While writing this story, I've been rapping the chorus to "Ice Ice Baby," lol. The song is stuck in my head now!
