TV SCOOP: Michael Strahan Leaving 'Live' To Join ABC's 'Good Morning America'

Former New York Giants football player Michael Strahan is chucking up the deuces to Kelly Ripa, his co-host (for now) on Live with Kelly and Michael. He will soon take on a full-time anchor position at ABC's Good Morning America.

The Hall of Famer has made previous appearances on GMA and will make the permanent jump in September. ABC News President James Goldston released a statement earlier today and said:
“Over the past two years on GMA, Michael’s proven to be a tireless and versatile broadcaster with an incredible ability to connect with people, from veterans and all kinds of newsmakers to a host of modern American cultural icons.”
Michael joined Live in 2012 alongside co-host Kelly who has been with the morning show since the early 2000's. Live will search for a new co-host when the new season begins in the fall.
Congrats to him!
