POWER Season 3, Ep. 1: 'Call Me James' (FULL RECAP)

"Call Me James" Season 3, Ep. 301 - Full Recap

Ghost is now in a world of trouble with Tommy on the hunt to kill him. He'll soon find out Lobos is still alive and I'm sure Kanan will pop up again out of nowhere to seek his revenge.

All Ghost wants is out of the drug business, but with Lobos and Kanan on his tail, will he be able to break free from all of his drug connections and build a life with Angela who now knows his true identity?

As season 3 starts off, Ghost and Angela step into a packed Truth nightclub, business seems to be going well for Ghost.

"I'm happy with you," Ghost tells her.

Angela, playing the supportive girlfriend, says she believes in him and says, "go make me some money" right before he heads to his office.

She checks her little gold glitter purse which has a gun in it.

Will Angela ever fully trust Ghost?

Holly Wants To Prove She's Down

Tommy still has his ride or die chick, Holly, right by his side.

He straps up and tells Holly, "you're not coming with me, babe."

"You don't fucking trust me even though everything I said about Ghost was true," she responds.

Tommy doesn't want Holly getting picked up again and says they both need to stay out of trouble.

Holly wants to be involved and seems eager to help Tommy but he heads out without her and meets up with Julio. They roll up on a group of Spanish guys arguing in the street. One of the guys tells Tommy their deal is off because an agreement was broken.

"Luis may not be around anymore but I bet we can work something out," Tommy says.

"Motherfucker ain't nothing to work out, whoever you are, this don't concern you," one guy says to Tommy as he pulls a knife out on him.

A fight breaks out quickly but not long before the cops pull up and head on a unsuccessful foot chase of not catching anyone.

As the head person in charge and the new leader, Tommy needs to get product soon for his people.

"Where the fuck is Ghost!?," one of the guys ask Tommy.

But, Tommy's new mission is to kill Ghost. He pretty much has no choice otherwise Lobos said he will kill him, his girl, Holly, and their dog.

Tommy wants to seek revenge on Ghost anyway after finding out he sent Holly away.

Just Call Me James

Back at Truth nightclub, Ghost has taken Dre (Kanan's former buddy) under his wing and has given him a job at the club.

"When we're here, use your real name. When you cross that doorway here, you're Andre," he tells Dre. "And forget Ghost, call me James."

Ghost later stares at a bloody tarot card he received, just like the ones he left on the bodies of all his victims last season. As he goes over security footage later, he catches one of his employees, Tatiana, sneak into his office and put the card in his desk.

Angela tells Ghost she has to leave the club early because she has an early day at work tomorrow.

She places her purse down (which is holding her gun) and Jaime takes his jacket off and throws it on the chair, covering up her purse. He continues kissing her and places Angela up on the desk in his office.

"This is my club, my desk and you're my girl," he tells Angela as he slides his hand over her dress.

She gives him a little push, turns around, faces the desk and pushes stuff off to make room. Ghost quickly unbuckles his pants and bends her over his desk.

The next morning, Angela and Ghost get dressed in her bedroom. They're still getting used to being around each other.

"You know what, we'll get the hang of it and then we'll move," he says to Angela.

She tells Ghost she's a little nervous because she's going to ask her boss for a transfer to another department because she's ready for a change. She also says she may be working more hours. Ghost says with handling three clubs, he'll also be working more hours and he realizes he won't have a lot of time left for Angela or his children.

"I'm ready to meet them [his children], when you're ready for that," she says. "Whenever that is."

"Sure, babe," he replies. "Sounds good."

Ghost later shows up at Tatiana's residence, knocks on the door and there's no answer. He goes to open the door and to his surprise it's not even locked. Looks like somebody already beat him to the punch because there's blood on the carpet and on the walls.

Back At Home, Tasha Is Keeping The Family Together

A sobbing Tariq talks to his mother about Shawn's death and wants to know if the police know what happened to him. But, the police haven't called Tasha back, all she knows is that Shawn is dead.

Ghost later heads to his old home to talk to Tasha while the kids are out at school. He says they need to sit the kids down and explain to them about Angela.

"About Angela? ... What about Shawn, Ghost?," she asks. "What about the fact that someone who was in their lives is suddenly dead with no explanation."

Ghost stands there and listens. Tasha tells him to stop acting like he did't know Shawn was dead. He tells Tasha he knew already and she wants to know why he didn't let her know before the cops alerted her.

"I had to tell the kids about Shawn alone," she says.

"What happened to your face, Ghost? Were you in a fight?"

"You think I did this to him? I told you I sent him away," he answers.

"You tell me a lot of things," Tasha replies.

Ghost sits down and tells Tasha everything ... how he told Shawn that his father, Kanan, was using him, how Shawn decided to confront his father instead of leaving town like Ghost suggested, and that Kanan shot his own son. He also tells Tasha that he killed Kanan.

"Kanan is dead!?" she asks.

"And, Lobos too ... I'm out the game," Ghost says.

"Why should I believe anything you have to say?"

Although Ghost has lied to Tasha in the past, he reassures Tasha he had nothing to do with Shawn's death and said he was with Tommy getting him out of jail. Ghost also apologizes for not being around when she had to tell the kids that Shawn was dead.

"Call me when you're ready to talk," Ghost says as he walks out.

Greg Is After Angela & Ghost

Greg thinks Angela should be in prison for sleeping with Ghost and for knowing he's Lobos' New York distributor. But, Greg is told, to prove Angela had criminal intent to protect Ghost, he will have to prove first that Ghost is working for Lobos.

Greg is still suspended from work from stalking Angela last season. But, that's not stopping him from doing his own little investigation.

He winds up visiting Truth nightclub later and he starts snooping around. He runs into Kantos and asks him about Tommy and Ghost but Greg doesn't get any information out of him.

Back at the club, Kantos now works for Ghost again and brings him Simon Stern's VIP list which he stole right before he was fired by Stern. Remember Stern? The guy who stole Truth from Ghost last season?

Kantos tries to prove himself to Ghost (after previously being made in charge by Stern) and says he deleted the file from Stern's record which will take him a month to rebuild back.

Dre later comes in the office, he's looking to make more money and says the club shit is alright but he wants to mix it up and move some drug weight.

"Look, I figured since you're not fucking with Tommy nomore, you need someone in that shotgun seat, just holla at ya boy, man," Dre tells Ghost. "What's our new hustle?"

"The club is the new hustle," Ghost responds.

He tells Dre he promised him a fat paycheck and that he'll take him out the hood. But, Dre said he doesn't want to be clean, he just wants to look clean like Ghost.

Back at the office, Angela tells her boss, Mike Sandoval, that she wants a transfer and a fresh start. Plus, she doesn't want to work there when Greg gets back from his suspension. But, Mike tells her she can't go anywhere because she's needed on the Lobos task force.

Angela thought the case was over but is told Lobos woke up after his stabbing and he's now stable so they're pursuing the case.

Uh oh, will she warn Ghost about this news?

A judge and Lobos' attorney is asking for all charges against Lobos to be dropped. He wants his client, Lobos, to be returned to Mexico since the government has done a shitty job protecting him during his prosecution since a hitman was hired within the prison. The judge and attorney are concerned for Lobos' safety but Angela tells the judge, if she sends Lobos back to Mexico, he'll just go back to selling drugs and ordering murders.

Tommy, The New Boss

Tommy is around town making deals with new connections and working towards moving more shipments. Meanwhile, Ghost is looking into hiring more security for his club.

If it gets out Lobos is alive, the person who ordered the hit (Ghost) could be killed. One of Angela's coworkers lets her know if she fucks up the case, he will make sure she gets removed.

Later on, Tasha meets up with Tommy and wants to know why he hasn't been returning her calls. She lets him know what Ghost told her ... that Shawn is dead, Kanan killed him and Ghost killed Kanan. Tommy seems like he didn't know and Tasha says she doesn't trust Ghost. Well, Tommy doesn't trust him either.

"What happened with you two?," Tasha asks

"It doesn't matter what happened," Tommy answers. "Can't change it now."

"Tommy, for the kids. They need an explanation. I need to know if Ghost killed Shawn."

Tommy reassures Tasha that Ghost was with him bailing him out of jail the night that Shawn died. Tommy also believes Ghost killed Kanan.

"Ghost said he's out the game now, is that why you're mad at him?" she asks Tommy.

"Goodbye, Tasha," he responds and walks away.

Tasha is just left standing there, confused as to what happened between Tommy and Ghost.

Later on at Tommy's apartment, he tells Holly how him and Ghost hid boxes of money stashed all around the city as an escape plan. He plans on hiding the boxes again but in places Ghost won't know about.

"That's what makes you smart Tommy, fuck Ghost," Holly says.

He agrees, "Yeah, fuck Ghost."

"You don't need him, Tommy, you're gonna be better off without him. You're the boss now..." Holly goes on to tell Tommy as she straddles him.

In the middle of them having sex on the couch, Lobos calls Tommy about rebuilding the drug organization. He also reminds Tommy about the deal of killing Ghost and that everyone must think that he's dead.

"Ghost needs to dead soon, otherwise your little family won't be safe," Lobos tells Tommy.

Lobos Must Play Dead

Mike goes to visit Lobos and as soon as he walks in, Lobos pulls out a knife on him and wants to know why isn't he on a plane back to Mexico as they speak. Mike tells Lobos he tried to lose the argument as they planned but says he couldn't control the judge.

Lobos says all of his assets are seized. It has to seem like Lobos is dead during the case. The only people who could hurt Lobos is Luis and Ghost, but Lobos says he has the Ghost situation under control.

Mike says when this is all over, him and Lobos are done. He says he's taken care of every loose end, but nothing can happen to Angela (who wants to destroy his case) because it will come back on him and Lobos.

Later on, Lobos and Angela come face-to-face.

Lobos messes with her and tells her in Spanish, the only job she should have is keeping that beautiful mouth full of cock.

"You can say whatever you want to me, I'm not afraid of you," Angie responds and shows she doesn't crack under pressure

"You should be," he responds in Spanish.

"Is that a threat? We can add charges to the indictment," she tells him.

Lobos proceeds to cooperate and he describes what happened when he got stabbed.

Back at Tasha's house, her and Ghost talk about Shawn during family dinner with their children. They talk about the changes that will take place with their living situation.

After dinner, Tasha calls him Ghost while they're talking.

"You don't need to use that name, Tasha, just call me Jamie,"

Can Tommy Really Take The Lead

Tommy and Julio are both wearing ski masks on top of a roof as they're about to kill two guys who are wrapped in bubble wrap and duck tape. Tommy pushes one of them off the roof and then shoots him. Instead of shooting the other guy, Tommy takes his face mask off because he wants the guy to see his face. Tommy wants a message to be sent around that he's not to be fucked with.

"The fuck you thinking showing your face, man!?," Julio yells out to Tommy. "What you think Ghost gonna say when this shit gets back to him off the streets!?"

Tommy gets angry at hearing Ghost's name and he puts his hands around Julio's neck as he yells out, "Shut your fucking mouth, cuz Ghost ain't here, he don't exist!"

Later on that night at Truth nightclub, Angie is sitting at the bar watching her man Ghost operate the club like a boss. All of a sudden, Julio pops up wanting to talk to Ghost about Tommy. Angie watches along, she knows this can't be good.

Ghost takes Julio back to his office and asks, "Why are you here!?"

Julio goes on about Tommy pushing a man off of a building and showing his face. He also wants to know why Ghost is out of the drug game.

Ghost says he's all abut the club now. Julio tells him he didn't get in the game to work for Tommy.

"What you want me to say? Tommy Egan is the boss now, I guess you better do what he wants," Ghost advises Julio.

Julio continues talking and says he has to do a pickup out in Elizabeth and Ghost changes the tune in his voice. He asks Julio why is he still doing pickups and Ghost soon realizes him and Tommy are still working with Lobos.

Julio is worried that Tommy is going to get them all killed and he tells Ghost they need him.

"Take care of yourself, man," Ghost tells Julio.

Ghost sits down at his work desk and realizes he has a huge problem now ... Lobos is still alive!

Uh oh!

The next day, Angela gets to work and digs up a file with pictures of Holly, Tommy... and Julio, the man she saw at the club talking to Ghost. She's not happy.

Loyalty Is Everything

Dre walks in Ghost's office and looks in his drawer for a tie. He peeps the bloody card in Ghost's desk and whispers, "what the fuck?"

Ghost walks in, calls him Dre (not Andre) and asks if he's strapped.

"I never leave home without it," he answers.

Ghost walks out the office and runs into Kantos who says he needs to talk to him (most likely about Greg showing up at the club).

Ghost says they'll talk later and he proceeds to a meeting with all his employees. He's looking to fill a general manager position for all three of his clubs and he calls Kantos up to the front.

From the look of Kantos' face, you can tell he thinks he's about to get the GM title, but he's in for a rude awakening. Instead, Ghost says Kantos is the exact opposite of what he wants his club to be.

"From now on, this lying, bullshitting, backstabbing piece of shit isn't welcomed on these premises," Ghosts says to the rest of his employees.

Kantos is then escorted out of the club by security as he yells out that Ghost can't run the club without him.

"Loyalty is everything to me, I deserve it and I demand it," he tells everyone. "Now, let's get to work."

A Warning From Lobos, Ghost Is Back

Later, Julio lets Tommy know he's all the way in with him. Tommy tells Julio that Lobos wants everyone to think he's dead. But, too late, Julio already told Ghost.

Back at Angela's place, while having dinner with Ghost, she brings up Julio and wants to know why he was at the club

"You promise you would forgive my past," Ghost says to Angela.

"I promised I would try," she replies.

He tells her about Julio and how he used to work for him. Ghost assures her he's out of the game.

He then leans in infont of Angie and says, "I don't know how else to make you believe me, I don't know what else I have to do."

Ghost asks her how hard is she willing to try because if they can't be honest with each other then they might as well not even try.

"Felipe Lobos is alive," Angie blurts out.

She goes on to say how the public will think Lobos is dead even though he survived the attack. Angela tells Ghost, this information cannot get out because not only will she lose her job and license, she will got to prison.

She also says she talked to Lobos and he thinks someone else ordered the attack. She tells Ghost he's safe and it's all over.

"I guess Ghost really is dead," Angela says.

Towards the very end of the episode, Tommy gets home and calls out Holly's name. He finds a trace of blood leading out to the balcony  and see's his dog is dead. Someone sliced his dog's throat (a message from Lobos?)

In the last scene, Angela and Ghost are in bed. When she gets up to shower, Ghost pulls out the bloody card from his jacket and then he pulls out his phone to make a call.

"Tommy, we need to talk, man." he says leaving a voicemail. "It's Ghost."

Ahh shit. Ghost is back!
