Eddie Murphy Steps Down From His Next Year Oscar Hosting Duties

Eddie Murphy no longers wants to host the annual Academy Awards which will take place in February 26, 2012. 
Murphy took the honor of hosting back in September and is now following his "Tower Heist" director Brett Ratner in leaving.

The Acadamey Awards changed Ratner as their producer of next years show due to controversial comments he made. (Find out what Ratner said below in the video.)

Murphy said in a statement, "I was truly looking forward to being a part of the show that our production team and writers were just starting to develop, but I'm sure that the new production team and host will do an equally great job."
