'Dancing With the Stars' Premiere: Jaleel White Impresses All Dancing the Foxtrot

Dancing with the Stars judge Len Goodman called yesterdays season 14 premiere the best first show of any season.

I watched DWTS just to check out Jaleel White... I'm always tempted to call him Urkel but no traces of the clumsy nerd - that we fell in love with on the 90's sitcom Family Matters - showed up last night (video below).

"America is waiting for me to fall and say 'did I do that?" I have to make sure that doesn't happen," Jaleel jokingly said.

The couples had to dance to either the "cha cha cha" or the "foxtrot" and the final dance belonged to Jaleel and his partner Kim Johnson who called Jaleel a natural at dancing, and boy did they kill it.

They're foxtrot earned high praises from the judges earning them 26 out of 30 possible points, which tied them for the highest score of the evening!

Behind the scenes, during practice Kym said Jaleel is famous for his Urkle dance. Jaleel joked back and said to her, "You said you wanted to win, right? Then you don't want to bring that one out."

He said, "I think the biggest misconception people might have of me is that I'm clumsy or geeky, so I'm here to discover how coordinated am I"

He said his mother is the reason why he decided to do the show.

All couples are safe this evening but next Tuesday night  (March 27th) someone will be eliminated.
