'Single Ladies' Super Trailer and LisaRay Opens Up About the Departure of Stacey Dash

VH1 released a super trailer for Single Ladies which premieres on Memorial Day. I was wondering how they would write off Stacey Dash's character, Val, who was a huge part of the first season. Well, in the super trailer, Keisha (LisaRaye) reveals that she gets a call from Val and she's not coming back from Milan...super wack!

In next weeks issue of Jet magazine, LisaRaye opens up about the departure of her former co-star Stacey Dash, she explains:

"There was a disagreement over a scene.  And it really wasn't with me.  It was with the director. I think it was about 2 or 3 a.m., and we'd been shooting all damn day. Stacey tried to argue with the director about a line and I'm like, 'Girl, if you don't say what the director wants you to say...'"
"It wasn't that serious at first, but it went there," the actress recalled, adding that VH1 saw a great opportunity to hype up the show following the fight.
"I just wanted us to move forward. Then the argument took on a life of its own. The show decided to use it for publicity. They just ran with it."

I do look forward to the second season, it just really sucks that Stacey Dash got the ax already. She is now replaced with the newest cast member, Denise Vasi who is playing the role of Raquel.

Season 2 guest appearances include: Anthony Williams, Big Boi, Cassandra Freeman, Chilli, Even, Flex Alexander, Harold "House" Moore, La La Anthony, Lauren London, Michelle Van Der Water, Omar Gooding, Paula Patton, Pilar Sanders, Rick Fox, Ricky Whittle, Romeo, Tank, T.I., Tony Rock and William Levy. Executive producer of the show, Queen Latifah will also appear in the series.

Single Ladies premieres May 28th at 9 p.m. on VH1.
