Beyonce Pulls Out of Clint Eastwood's 'A Star is Born' Movie

Beyonce announced earlier today that she is no longer available to star in Clint Eastwood's adaptation of A Star is Born due to her upcoming busy schedule. The film apparently had no set start date.

"For months we tried to coordinate our schedules to bring this remake to life but it was just not possible. Hopefully in the future we will get a chance to work together," Beyonce said in a statement.

She was supposed to play the female lead, a role that was previously played by Barbra Streisand and Judy Garland

Esperanza Spalding
Beyonce and Eastwood both linked up for the movie project back in January 2011 and delays came when Beyonce announced she was pregnant with Blue Ivy Carter. Production is also still looking for their leading man with Will Smith, Tom Cruise, Russell Crowe and Bradley Cooper all previously considered, according to reports.

Rumor now has it that jazz musician Esperanza Spalding is being considered for the female role in place of Beyonce.

Maybe Beyonce's busy schedule means she's working on a new album and future tour dates!
