Big Bird Makes a Big Comeback Thanks to Mitt Romney

The 8-foot-tall yellow bird who first appeared in the sixties is making a comeback thanks to Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

During last weeks presidential debate, Romney said if elected he would end federal subsidies for the Public Broadcasting Service to help balance the budget. PBS airs Sesame Street. He then added that he likes Big Bird.

Him possibly cutting PBS created a big stir and Big Bird started becoming a topic on its own.

Now, according to recent news reports, Big Bird shined during the debate and is becoming wildly popular again and is "poised to be this year's breakout Halloween costume."

Once Romney mentioned Big Bird, people started shopping for the feathered costumes.

Uh oh, get em' Big Bird! Move over Batman and Superman!
