Mo'Nique is killing the weight loss! And, she's making me feel bad for missing out on my gym trips lately :(

She stopped by The Hot 97 Morning Show on Tuesday to chat and she mentioned her get-fit journey.

"I'm three years in it," said Mo'Nique who is 45-years-old. She tweets every day about her exercise regimen, which includes making sure she takes 10,000 steps a day.

"I want women to see, especially us big women, that you don't have to let them cut you and suck it out,"  she told the morning show crew.

"You don't have to let them staple you up. You don't have to let them give you a pill. You don't have to let them put a band around your organs. If you just put the work in, baby, I promise you, it comes off."

Mo'Nique said that two weeks ago, her weight was 218. Her goal is between 190 and 200. She said at one point she was "close to 300."

Right now, she says, "I'm the best Mo'Nique I've ever been. And I still have a ways to go."

The actress also talked about how having an "open" marriage with Sidney Hicks "backfired on her." She was the one who wanted freedom when she was on the road, but then she realized she had a king at home.

She urges, "Sisters, if you got a good man, honor him."

Mo'Nique said she experienced a change of heart since she first revealed the status of the relationship in an interview with Barbara Walters in 2010.

“When I did that interview, I didn’t realize the king that I had. I was just being old Mo’Nique ... It actually backfired. I thought I was saying to women "you can enjoy your cake and eat it, too." It backfired ... Now that I understand what I have, baby listen, there’s not another man on the face of this earth that can compare to mine. In my humble opinion. That’s just for me ... When you really take the energy and pay attention to your relationship ... and really take the energy really put your all into that relationship and love him in a way that your mama didn’t teach you how to love a man, don’t neither one of y’all wanna go nowhere ... Sisters listen, treat ‘em like a King if you wanna be treated like a Queen -- it works.”

Very well said.

I'm following Mo'Nique now on Twitter for motivation on my lazy days. Peep her Hot 97 interview below:
