Tisha Campbell Reveals That Tommy From 'Martin' Actually Had A Job!

After 20 years, Martin fans FINALLY know what Tommy did for a living!

Remember, Martin and the rest of the characters would clown Tommy (who was played by actor Thomas Mikal Ford) and say, "man, you ain't got no job" or "word on the street is, you ain't got no job."

Once us fans thought we were about to know what it was Tommy did for a living, he would laugh and just say, "you know what I do" or "I work in that big black building..."

Tommy even hooked up his friend Cole with a job on what episode, but we still didn't know what they did!

There was also that one time Tommy got a promotion, but all he said is he would be doing the same thing he did at the last job, lol.

Well, Tisha Cambell-Martin who played Gina on the show, recently revealed what it was Tommy did for a living.

During a Bossip podcast interview, the actress said,  “Tommy really did have a job, I’ll give you a hint...”

“The woman I was gonna fight, she was Martin’s teacher; Beverly Johnson, in that episode that’s the first time you hear about Tommy’s job. So Tommy talks about him being in the Boys & Girls Club. He was a counselor at the Boys & Girls Club. That’s what he did for a living.”

Tisha said the joke came about because Thomas Mikal Ford used to complain about his character being underdeveloped.

"Tommy was complaining, 'I don't think they're developing my character enough. No one knows what I do for a job; they keep asking me what I do!' " she explained. "So then they started putting in the script that Tommy has no job."

Also, remember the episode where Tommy married Pam and Luis, and Tommy revealed he got licensed at the YMCA? I used to think that was a clue about his occupation.

Well, now we know, folks!
