Issa Rae got slammed on social media for saying Black women should date Asian men in her book from 3 years ago
So, some peeps are hella mad because a chapter in Issa Rae's 3-year-old book "The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl,"says Black women and Asian men should date each other.
Screenshots of Issa's book features passages about dating and black women and Asian men being at the "bottom of the dating totem pole" in the United States. Peeps started sharing the screenshots from the book all over social media and Issa was trending earlier.
I thought Issa was trending because a trailer for 'Insecure' came out or something.
Okay, so first off, I did not read this book (not yet), but I heard it's satirical. Secondly, props to Issa for getting hella new promotion for this book from three years ago. And, third off ... all I know is I'm never boycotting "Insecure" lol ya'll can do what ya'll want.
