Love & Hip Hop Recap: Alicia Keys..Man-stealer? & Somaya Drama

So on last weeks episode we saw Somaya's manager "Tattoo" get punked by Jim Jones and his crew (in the above photo) after an explosive fight started with Chrissy, Jim's girlfriend and Somaya on the yacht. Things escalated when Tattoo started going in on Chrissy, calling her names and talking crap about Jim saying things like he's not getting money.

Chrissy then of course goes back and tells Jim. Somaya and Tattoo are in a restaurant in New Jersey talking to Olivia about the drama that went down on the yacht and in comes Jim. He gets Tattoo to go outside and shakes him up a bit.

In this week's episode Somaya tries to squash the bad tension between her and Chrissy. Emily plays both sides and tries to get everyone to like each other and gets all the girls together for drinks.

Things start off fine until Somaya says she now has a problem with Olivia because of her big mouth. She feels Olivia shouldn't have told Chrissy the address of where her and Tattoo were at that day because that's how Jim found them.

Somaya starts cursing and calls Olivia a snitch saying everytime Olivia see's her she rolls her eyes. Chrissy and Olivia say some words back then they just walk away.

"I was trying not to be in my G-Unit days because I wanted to punch the b*!tch in her face, that's why I walked away," Olivia said.

Mashonda/Swizz/Alicia:
Fabolous' girlfriend, Emily visits Mashonda, Swizz Beatz ex-wife, in the beginning of the episode. Emily wants to know how Mashonda is doing, after the divorce from Swizz.

Mashonda goes on talking about her and Swizz's relationship and how she has to deal with it in the public eye.

"She (Alicia Keys) has a song called Karma, you know 'what goes around comes around, what goes up must come down.' You listen to these records and you feel like girl power and then you get this." Mashonda said on today's episode referring to the after divorce mess she dealt with.

This reminds me of what she said in the open letter she wrote for Alicia in 2009 via her Twitter account, MashondaLoyal, confronting Alicia's secret affair with her husband. Here's a part of that famous letter:

"... Its been two years and I still have not received a response. What I do receive, is constant displays of selfishness and disconcern to me and my son. I was a fan of AK's last album, we were both signed to J Records and I always checked up on her projects. I sang her songs and admired her for creating Superwoman and Karma, I would never deny her, her talent. I believed in her until I found out she was possibly sleeping with my husband. The affair was denied by both, until it was finally admitted months later ..."

Mashonda says everywhere she goes there are magazines showing off the newlyweds and that she can't pay Alicia and Swizz any mind.

Emily also goes to Mashonda's house where she used to have a complete family with her ex-husband. Pictures of them and their son are still on the wall, the pool looks dirty and Mashonda says Swizz let their dream house go to foreclosure after the divorce. Wow!

Alicia Keys really does seem like a man-stealer. I wonder if her and Swizz ever watch Love & Hip Hop or if they hear what Mashonda says about them on the show?

Comments

  1. Alicia Keys should remember the words of her famous song, "Karma". "What goes around, comes around, what goes up must come down!"

    Sad but true.

  3. I feel awful for Mashonda. She's so pretty and seems so smart. I wonder how she got with him to begin with. How does dumb Swizzy get all these smart, hot girls?
