"At approximately 4 p.m. on 23 July 2011, two ambulances were called to Winehouse's home in Camden, London. Shortly afterwards, the Metropolitan Police confirmed her death, but the cause is currently unknown."
Rumours of Winehouse's death began circulating on Twitter on Saturday evening. The wife of the former prime minister, Sarah Brown recently tweeted:
"Sad sad news of Amy Winehouse - great talent, extraordinary voice, and tragic death, condolences to her family."
Although the cause of her death is unknown right now, her recent career was overshadowed by drinking and drug problems. Winehouse was only 27-years-old.
