'Home Alone' Star Macaulay Culkin is NOT Dead, Just Another Hoax

Social media keeps killing off celebrities who are very much still alive... like this is Survivor, lol. And, this isn't the first time Macaulay Culkin has been reported "dead."

The Home Alone star was the victim of yet another death hoax which went around the internet last week and fans started freaking out on Twitter.

A story was posted on a website that uses MSNBC in their URL (not to be confused with the real MSNBC) which led many to believe the news was real. The fake article was then shared and blasted all over Twitter and Facebook.

The fake story reports:

"Sources are reporting that Macaulay Culkin, best known for his role as Kevin McCallister in Home Alone and sequel Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, has been found dead at the age of 34.

Multiple unconfirmed reports say Culkin was found dead Friday afternoon in his Manhattan apartment after police responded to a wellness check requested by a family member."

It's great to see Macaulay has a sense of humor as he posted a couple of photos to prove he's still alive and kickin'!

In one photo, Macaulay's NYC-based rock band The Pizza Underground posted on Twitter: "We're on tour you silly people / @anchovywarhol's."

Macaulay also posted a Weekend at Bernie's picture (below) yesterday (Nov. 8), jokingly pretending to be dead after the death hoax spread.

Macaulay joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this type of hoax.
