Mathew Knowles Discusses the Formation of Destiny's Child, a Possible Biopic & Reunion, "Beyonce Bootcamp" and More!

Mathew Knowles, Beyonce and Solange's father and Destiny's Child manager, had an interview this morning with the hosts over at Power 105.1 The Breakfast Club. Mathew discusses the formation of Destiny's Child, charging people $200 on how to be like Beyonce, managing rapper Nas, the first time Beyonce brought Jay-Z home, and much more.

Charlamagne is known to ask the hard hitting questions and when he asked about Mathew allegedly getting a stripper pregnant (sips tea) Mathew got off that topic quickly! He said let's keep the interview on the business side.

The 63-year-old businessman has a new book he's currently promoting, "The DNA of Achievers: 10 Traits of Highly Successful," which is about how to make it in the music industry.

So, the fans want to know, is a Destiny's Child biopic in the works? Mathew said:

“I hope so. That I am working on. I don’t think its too early. They have soo much because they started so early in life. This goes back to when they were 8-years-old and now they’re 34."
When speaking about a possible DC reunion, Mathew said, “Obviously one day it’s going to happen. We don’t want to see them doing some of those dances at 50 do we? I know I don’t. I know I sure don’t want to see some of them at 50.”
He spoke out on whether he still manages Beyonce or not and said, "No. I think she wanted to run her own business. We taught both of our kids, both Solange and Beyonce, entrepreneurship."
"At 30 years old, you’re a grown ass woman and want to do your own thing. I’m happy that most of her team worked for me and I trained them. She took that team and that’s who’s working for her. I’m proud of what she’s done as a business owner and what Solange has done as a business owner," he added.
Mathew also spoke out on the infamous elevator attack between Solange and Jay-Z. He said, “I thought it was a great jedi-mind trick.”
