BET Showed Up And Showed Out For Prince, Watch These Amazing Tributes From Bilal, Jennifer Husdon, Janelle Monae & More!
Back in May, Madonna performed a tribute for Prince at the Billboard Music Awards which included a duet with Stevie Wonder.
Well, not long after that performance aired, someone handling the BET Twitter account threw a lil' shade by posting an ad online with a winking reference to the tribute:
"Yeah, we saw that," the tweet read. "Don't worry. We got you."
Many viewers thought Madonna's tribute was just so-so and that Billboard could've done much better with honoring Prince, one of the biggest musicians of our time.

Well, BET showed up and showed out last night with the tribute lineup and boyyy, did they deliver!
Sheila E., Bilal, Erykah Badu, Janelle Monae, Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Hudson and many more delivered amazing performances ... the way someone like Prince should be honored for all he contributed.

Missing:
In the weeks leading up to Sunday's award show, BET announced D'Angelo's involvement in the Prince tributes. But, the singer did a no-show!
Quest Love eventually confirmed on Twitter that D'Angelo wouldn't be performing when he tweeted: "Not gonna happen" to an inquiring D'Angelo fan about three hours into the telecast. I wonder what happened to him?
Also, I wish Miguel would have been included in the tribute. I always see a little bit of Prince in him anytime he performs.
