Beyonce gives back and meets with Hurricane Harvey victims in Houston

Beyonce has traveled to her hometown to meet with those affected by the devastating hurricane.

The 36-year-old singer arrived in Houston this past Friday, where she addressed the Hurricane Harvey victims at St. John's United Methodist Church, a church she went to as a child.

Beyonce reportedly helped more than 400 families and around 30 families at the church in downtown Houston where she provided food and shelter, plus she donated a large amount of money (I heard it was $10 million).

Beyonce along with her mother, Mrs. Tina Lawson, Michelle, and many others, including her 5-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, helped with surviving food to Hurricane Harvey survivors:

Beyonce and her mother also gave a speech to the survivors:
The singer, who is usually super lowkey with her donations and everything else she has done in the past for her hometown, recently shared photos of her giving back in Houston:

On Tuesday, Sept. 12, Bey will be participating in the Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Harvey Relief telethon along with other celebrities.

The telethon will air live across networks NBC, ABC, CBS, CMT and Fox at 8 p.m. on the East Coast and replay at 8 p.m. on the West Coast. It will also be streamed live on Twitter and Facebook.
