Whoop Whoop! Usher Announces New Album Coming In 2016!

Usher performed tonight (Dec. 30) in New Orleans at Jackson Square as part of the Allstate Fan Fest activities for the Allstate Sugar Bowl.

During his free, public concert (which I streamed on Tidal) Usher dropped some exciting news! The singer told fans they can expect his new album sometime in March or April!

At first, he said not to hold him to a March release date, then he asked the crowd if it should be released in March or April and said March it is.

Finallyyyy!

This will be Usher's eighth studio album, with his last album Looking 4 Myself released in 2012.

Although Usher released a number of hit songs in 2014, such as "I Don't Mind," "Good Kisser" and "She Came To Give It To You," he hasn't been in a rush to release this new album, saying he is taking his time to make sure everything is perfect.

I'll post more updates on Usher's new album/music as it comes out. In the meantime, check out this snippet of him singing a brand new song:
